The secret behind aiming for success

There is a psychological trait that all successful people appear to have in common which is the growth mindset. People with this mindset believe that their brilliance or skill in any field can be devloped through hard work and sincere dedication. Basically they believe that anyone can nurture their abilities in anything that they are happy & satisfied to do.

The opposite of the growth mindset is the fixed mindset. People with this mindset believe that intelligence or skill is something people are born with. People with this mindset have a thought that they are either born gifted or not, there is no room for change. Basically, they believe intelligence or skill is fixed from birth. This is the psychology of most people which is why most of the population is satisfied with doing a job for survival.

Let me just kickstart this blog with a story of a successful person, which I hope we all are fond of who is Bill Gates:

Bill Gates was a shy & quiet boy who spent hours reading books in his room. He was often bullied as a child which made him grew up as an introvert and an anti-social kid. His original plan was to become a math teacher but that was until his friend Paul Allen convinced him to pursue a career in Computer Programming. Bill Gates liked the sound of it and wrote his first computer program at the age of 13. But his parents were not happy about it, his parents wanted him to pursue a law career. So to not disappoint his parents, he went to Harvard to study law but he found himself spending a lot of time on the computer than in class and that was because he was really happy when he was coding and law was not something he was interested about! A little later he made a bold move and dropped out of Harvard to pursue his dream which made him begin MICROSOFT with his childhood friend Paul Allen in 1975.

In the beginning, the company struggled a lot financially. Some of their big clients went bankrupt. So Bill Gates faced many challenges on his way to success, one of those challenges was Windows 1.0. Bill Gates believed that after its release windows will be running on 90% of the computer. Unfortunately, windows received only 10% of computers ended using it. But this unfortune was a stepping stone for Microsoft. After 2 years of hard work Windows 2 was released, where Microsoft word and excel were presented for the first time. Windows became a huge commercial success & revolutionized the world. Finally, 90% percent of computers were using windows. He became a billionaire at the age of 31 and only 8 years later he became the richest man in the world. Through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, he has donated more than $45 billion, and there's a lot that can be learned from his success story.

"Pain is definitely not in never falling; the real pain is the realization of the times you choose not to fall!"

I'm not saying you should drop out of your academics and become the next Bill Gates. To be successful in life you don't have to be a genius. It might be a small business that you'd like to do, it might be a promotion in your working place or playing an instrument, sports, learning a new language, or even breaking records or whatever it takes to make your heart happy and content.

"Believe in yourself, Cause nobody else is gonna do it for you!"

STOP PROCRASTINATING:

Bill Gates was extremely serious about the use of his time and hated the idea of wasting time.

Think about all the unnecessary things you're doing everyday that are keeping you away from being great.

Bill Gates didn't have a growth mindset all the time. He also had bad days and was depressed by his failures. He also thought of stepping back but he neither stopped trying nor gave up which was one of the major reasons for his huge success.

"Success isn't an option, it's a necessity"

A person with the growth mindset always believes that they are in a state of flux which doesn't make them overconfident. They always focus on the process of growing and learning. People with the growth mindset are living in greater accordance with reality than people with the fixed mindset. We know that things take time, effort, and strategies to achieve but it's often difficult to put that kind of thinking into practice.

"Surround yourself with people who challenge you, teach you & push you to be your best self" -Bill Gates

Apart from the hard work and the smart work that you do there is something important beyond all of that which is gonna be the building block of your success YOUR PERSONALITY!

"A person with a great personality isn't born with it; it is he/she who built it!"

Hard work is something that everybody has to do at some point in life whereas success or being at your peaks is not a consistent thing, it fluctuates according to its own desire but the personality you build today is gonna make you stay positive, happy & grateful in your greatest and the smallest achievements in life.

"THE MORE GRATEFUL YOU ARE THE MORE PERFECTION YOU SEE!"

REMEMBER SUCCESS COMES FROM HAVING THE FREEDOM TO FALL!
